Headteacher's Welcome

 

On behalf of myself, the governors, staff and pupils of Markham Primary I would like to welcome you to our excellent school. Our motto is “Making the most of every day” which underpins our commitment and dedication in providing the best education and provision possible in all areas of school life; all day, every day in all that we do.

This website has been produced to help to provide you with an insight into our school. It is full of information that will help you familiarise yourself with many of our structures and routines. I trust you will find it useful.

 

Choosing the right school for your child is vitally important. We all want the very best education for our children, but we also want our children to be safe, happy and to feel secure. We believe we offer all these things and our pupils and parents confirm this. We pride ourselves on our academic and personal achievements but we are equally proud of our caring, happy and friendly school ethos which places well being and equity at its heart.

Markham Primary School has a lot to be proud of.  It is a school where high standards, individuality and a sense of community are fostered within a stimulating, nurturing learning environment.  Academically, our pupils make excellent progress from their starting points and along their individual learning journeys and this is reflected in our assessments during their time with us.

We place great emphasis on developing a strong partnership between home and school, as it is through working together in an atmosphere of mutual respect and support that we can provide what is best for our children, in order that they may be happy, enriched and fulfil their potential before leaving us to further their education at secondary school.

 

I believe we are an extremely effective school and all the staff are committed to preparing your child for a lifelong journey of discovery and learning.
