The Four Purposes 

At Markham Primary School we work hard to ensure that what we teach and how we learn is driven by ‘The Core Purposes’. Our Junior Leadership Team have worked closely with all pupils and the SLT to devise our own unique Curriculum. We call this our R.I.S.E curriculum. Underpinning our curriculum are The Four Purposes, led by our ‘Four Purpose Crew’.

Through class WOW immersion days, our Four Purpose Crew guide pupils to create exciting lesson ideas and thought provoking questions to investigate during our ‘I wonder…… Learning Themes.’

The children’s ideas work hand in hand, developing our skills throughout the six AoLEs, in order to become independent lifelong learners.
